Guest pgill40
Hi All, My brother has a Supra NA-TT conversion. It has a code 42, speed sensor error. No symptoms whatsoever apart from OD light flashing and CEL light/warning triangle comes on after a few miles. Tried re-soldering any possible dry joints in the odometer, also tried the pink wire bypass into red/blue wire. Still OD light flashes. Noticed it used to have active spoiler which has been removed... anything to check here? As this is speed related. Could it be gearbox end? It's an auto. Speedo is in KMH and is not accurate at all! Any help would be appreciated. Like I said, there are no symptoms. Car drives and changes gear fine. Thanks Paul
safcdixon
No2 speed sensor at the rear of the gearbox, theres loads of threads on it ive had the same problem before, its linked through alot of different systems so hard to pinpoint, try searching on google whilst tagging mkivsupra.net i find it easier to find the threads you want rather than useing the search on here
Guest pgill40
So you think it's the sensor itself? Did you have any symptoms as I don't other than error code and xmas tree dash.
safcdixon
O/d light flashing mostly, but it was intermittent so never bothered fixing it yet, ive reshelled my supra so im hoping the it was a wiring fault, Just a guess mate if you can get a known working one cheap enough it will rule it out
Guest pgill40
Has anyone removed an active spoiler to fit an after market bumper? Was it a cas of just disconnecting and removing spoiler ecu/switch and that's it?
