Thorin
There's plenty of things here that Chris Wilson would no doubt call sacrilegious, but I've a serious hankering for a 245. http://www.speedhunters.com/2015/04/brick-heaven-our-top-volvo-240-picks-from-elmia/?sf37525340=1 I expect I'm in the minority, but think I'm going to start looking out for a decent example! jamesmark
Love old Volvo's, then ones in the link are very nice. Although soft spot for the P1800.
dangerous brain
Ones got a Toyota supra gearbox:) What I wonder is how does that green one with the gargantuan turbo and a LS1 conversion with the bonnet vent exhaust not melt the windscreen? Havard
Big Volvo fan here too. Never see the old 340's any more.
gavin.starr
I have wanted one of the 240's for years. I dont know what the brick appeal is but i bloody love them.
Chris Wilson
I still want a mint 242, got most of my old engine still, 330BHP from 2.3 litres. On a better management system fuel economu=y and drivability could be improved from the way it was when I built it in the late eighties. Swampy442
I also really like there 242s. I will, one day, put a JZ in a 240 series Volvo

Those Ronal centre lock wheels always looked spot on fitted to the touring car 242's. And the pre tensioned alloy cages were a work of art before they were banned. Happy days.... I remember putting a small film camera on the end of a stick, with a Heath Robinson remote shutter release and pushing it under a European Touring Car Championship RAS sponsored 242 in the pit garages at Silversone as I wanted a photo of their somewhat dubious live rear axle with negative camber, and being chased by this irate Swede who didn't take kindly to me doing that. Still got the still somewhere... I could run like hell in those days
