SimonR
I bought a 2jz-gte last Saturday week. It'll be used for building a 1.5jz-gte (1jz head on 2jz block). I currently have 440cc injectors in the 1jz. I'm a little concerned about my initial mapping of the Emanage with 800 injectors. I was thinking that, to avoid potential nasties when I first get started, I could just use the "injector change" facility to work out the necessary airflow reduction settings. However, that gives a figure of .475 which would maybe be a problem but is probably irrelevant anyway as the new engine will be a 3 litre rather than a 2.5 (or would the Toyota ECU detect the extra air flow?). In fact, the existing map (which was used for a jump from 380s to 440s) doesn't appear to have used the "injector change" function at all. Running rich and then leaning off doesn't worry me (I'll have the AEM wideband installed by then) but if I go too rich I'm worried that I could get bore wash or something else unpleasent. Any suggestions?
