HarleyFDMD
Ok so I have decided to start a quick progress thread of my supra First abit about me, im Harley (hi guys ) im 23 and from stamford. I have always wanted a supra, probably after watching the first fast and furious and just before xmas 2014 I finally bought one. I purchased it from spencer on here, who purchased it from skippyboyo1 so it has a nice bit of forum history. I didnt intend to buy one so soon, I had just finished building my 106 gti to exactly how I wanted it when this came up for sale. It needed abit of love but I saw the potential and frantically scraped together £2300 to buy it. I work in a bar part time so money is tight. I had to borrow the money from my girlfriend lol until I sold my 106 which id just spent 6k on then sold for 2k! The car is a jspec na 5 speed in 202 black. There was alot of interest and I actually ended up buying the car without even viewing it and paid to get it transported to my house. But when the day came and I saw it on the back of the truck I was instantly in love.

Kaan W
Any pics of the 106? I'm interested to see what 6k does on one of them.
HarleyFDMD
I certainly bought it with my heart! I had my 106 off the road for over a year while building it, had it on the road for a couple of months and loved it... then sold it in a heart beat! I had seen previous pictures of the car in its heyday and it looked fantastic, i originally intended to make it look the same as it used to, with a rear diffuser, oem skirts and spats and the dmm lip.. however i didn't want people to look at it and say "oh thats spencers old car" i didn't want the car to be known for that, i want people to know it for being mine and decided to put my own stamp on it. So first things first was just to tidy it up, sort out missing parts of interior and get some skirts and spats. i went for some (do luck i think?) replica skirts which i won for £25 on ebay surprisingly and some oem spats. This was my 106, and the supra the day it arrived!
HarleyFDMD
can anyone tell me why my pictures are coming up small in "attached thumbnails" rather than big pictures?

HarleyFDMD
The Greddy sticker is a marmite thing i know, I'm young and big body kits and stickers still tickle my fancy. don't worry though, i won't be putting any flames down the side! The car was fitted with glass uk headlights and i decided to bite the bullet and put them in the oven.. i must have read 50 ways of how to do this, putting car parts in the oven doesn't seem right for some reason lol and i don't have to money to replace them when i screw it up! either way i went ahead and it worked! i sprayed the insides satin black in an attempt to facelift them and they look awesome! I also tinted the rear lights with a gun smoke film which took ages to do but really freshened up the back.

HarleyFDMD
The dash was covered in a carbon fibre wrap that had certainly seen better days that was all removed along with that textured rubbery stuff.. and what a ball ache that was! I then sprayed all the dash satin black to try and look as subtle as possible. sorry if this doesn't read very well, structuring sentences isn't a strong point, i had an extremely fit english teacher at school and well, i was focused more on her rather than the subject itself. My computer skills are also limited!
HarleyFDMD
I intended on buying some bc coilovers but due to money being tight and other things taking priority i opted for some custom made coil springs. i had some made for my 106 and they were really good so went back to the same company, i asked for a 1 and a half inch drop on the front and obviously stiffer too.. farrrrr to low! I'm the sort of person who can give good advice, but I'm terrible and listening to it myself! £80 wasted! Also got my skirts and spats sprayed and fitted at this stage too and had swapped my standard bumper for a top secret bumper which was off being painted Edited April 3, 2015 by HarleyFDMD (see edit history)

HarleyFDMD
learnt a valuable lesson today.. dont be a dick, patience is a virtue!! soo, got my bumper fitted yesterday and my newly 'face lifted' headlights, then today i free'd off a sticky front calliper. The car was too low, i knew it was too low but i couldn't not drive it it! i had waited too long and i had to go out in it! and surprise surprise i hurt its face. as my dad always says, one day il learn! - - - Updated - - -
