Tricky-Ricky
For those running big BHP, I am researching for a friend with a Skyline R34, and is getting ready to run around 900BHP but needs a multi-plate clutch that's usable on the road, and has been looking at the following, http://www.exedyusa.com/oe/NM053SR http://www.exedyusa.com/oe/NM053SBMC Would either of these be suitable? or can anyone recommend any alternatives. Tricky-Ricky
Although this is in relation to a different car, what I'm after is feedback on these clutches used on a Supra, so surly some of you have used one of these clutches on a big power Supra? JamieP maybe......
Chris Wilson
Triple plate Giken. Given the R34 has a stock clutch servo pedal effort is light, and they are a superb clutch. I have one in my own Skyline.
Tricky-Ricky
Thanks Chris, I will pass that on, it did have a triple plate HKS clutch on it but that is down to the rivets and slipping, does the Giken come in push and pull flavors? Chris Wilson
The Giken comes with a movement reversal kit, to make it a push type clutch. They are no comparison with the dreadful device HKS sell. I chose a special order hub drive clutch, which is more for competition than the normal plates, but it's still eminently drivable in traffic.
