Need some help *phone*

HI guys, long story short my nan paid every bill in her household she is now very ill in hospital and grandad has had his house phone cut off.

 

Now they pay everything by Chq, so i cant trace it though the bank, he is 97 and has no house phone now, i tried BT and post office and they cant tell me who its with.

 

Is there anyway to find who the phone line is with so i can pay his bill?

As basic as it sounds turn it off and ring it and see if the answerphone gives you some clues.

I'm surprised BT couldn't tell you to be honest mate, were you through to the right department??

 

If you were to phone a provider and say you were thinking of switching to them and say you weren't sure who your current line rental is actually with, I'm pretty sure they could tell you?

 

Also, if the phone still has a dial tone, try calling 150 - should take you through to customer services for the line owner (if this still works)
