adam1983
Ok so here is my story: I'm working and living in Cyprus and have finally been able to book my car onto a ship in July to come over. The car is currently sorn'd but was wondering if it is possible to get temp insurance to enable me to drive the car to the port? The car is a jspec which seems to make it very difficult for some reason. I have until July so not in a major rush to sort anything. Any suggestions much appreciated [emoji4]
adam1983
In case it wasn't clear, the car is located in the UK. I have also done a search on here but nothing up to date available
Scooter
obtaining day insurance on a import supra is nigh on impossible........you might be able to insure for a year and cancel within 14days for free? (bar a possible admin fee)
Tyson
You'd need to tax it too, might be easier and cheaper to get it trailored to the port ?
adam1983
Yeah I did think about doing that but I'm guessing the admin fee would be quite steep. Will probably have a look into that though as it could be the best option

One of those recovery style trucks would be ideal. Might have a look into that if anywhere hires them. Have had a look at trailers but would need a car with tow hook too which I don't have so would need to hire separately
SupraP-Z
Which port are you sending it from bud? A low loader is what you would need - normall charge around a £100 to take you where you need to go, upto £300 sometimes

Pig
Go onto shiply - they are good for transporting cars. Much easier than taxing and insuring it
Chris Wilson
Or find someone with trade plates and get them to drive it to the port and get a train back? No, I am too far away.....
