Idle issues

Been having a few problems. Since I have gone full bpu very now and again I get low revs at start up 1200. This then drops quickly as the car is warming up. At 1/4 temperature it is normal tickover then by full temp it can be 500 in P and 400 in drive and using more fuel also being a bit hesitant. After driving it seems to clear itself and bring the revs back up. I had a new o2 sensor fitted along with the decat. It was only doing this now and again, but becoming more regular. Any ideas on what I should look at or try?

It's below the shiny one in the photo. The shiny one with just one wire to it is the sender for the temp *gauge*. The one below it, with 2 wires going to it, is the sender the ECU reads to determine engine coolant temperature and fuel and ignite accordingly. You can get new connector plastic shells, new pig tail wires with terminals pre crimped, and new senders themselves from a Toyota dealer. You can check continuity back to the ecu, check mechanical integrity of the connector, and measure resistance of the sensor at different temperatures. The figures are on the forum at:
