j_jza80
I need to install the wideband sensor for my gauge, and for simplicity I want to install it into one of my decat pipes. From what I've seen, the second pipe is the one that most use, but is there a reason why I can't use the 1st decat pipe? I'm just thinking down the line that I May end up befitting the second cat at some point. Cheers
bignum
There`s not much room around the 1st cat iirc and the sensor needs to be mounted on the top of the pipe so moisture can`t damage it, also further away from the engine is better for the sensor for heat purposes. Tricky-Ricky
When I ran BPU, and later TTC with hybrids I mounted the wideband sensor in the second decat, but after going single I mounted it in the down pipe, never had any over heat problems.
