As title guys, the car seems to do its start proceedure, engine makes the noises it used to before start, but nothing on the turn of the key, ive done a full swap from my tt auto into the tt6 shell everything looks correct, but im getting nothing on the third click of the key?

Anything Im missing in terms of tt auto differences to manual? Any help is muchly apprietiated

hmmm that would have been my best guess. could always bridge it out at the ecu. If the car starts thats your issue but it means the car will still try and start if like you accidently left it in 1,2,D or R, which probably isnt ideal but would be good for diagnoses

The neutral switch was good in my old supra though, its unlikely to have been damaged, i took it outa one strieght into the other, if all else fails il give that a shot though ;)

Bad earth?

This, reminds me of Homers thread where he was in a similar situation, if you search under his name for threads created might find something.

Main thing is that it is an auto loom in there, do you get any error codes? Tried resetting the battery? can you hear the fuel pump switching on?

Jayjays coming over tonight with a multimeter to shed some light on the starter, and check the earth system, hopefully find something on that

Read homers threads but not sure if its relevent as hes still using a manual facelift interior loom with a prefacelift engine and loom, where as with mine everything apart from the body loom has been swapped (all supra body looms are the same, all have the plugs for the auto) hopefully homer may see this and correct anything ive said thats wrong but im sure that was the case :)

Havent checked the errors codes as yet will do if i can get the turning, as its not attempting to start i havent bothered just yet, battarys been off on charge, so everything should be reset (i think)

Don't quite alot of ppl fall foul of some earth points on around and under the inlet manifold not connected? And rhe one at the back of the engine to body?

The one at the back of the engine is that the one above the heater matrix pipes? Bolted that too its mounting point just below the scuttle,The one under the inlet but attached to the block is a big thick black cable ive bolted that too the chassis leg,

Is there any other earths i couldve missed? The only other on the engine was the one that bolts too the fuel filter housing bracket

Sorted fellas, she lives again :D turns out im a fanny and didnt notice til this afternoon that the starter cable was actually on twisted therefore not tight to the housing but tight against the threads, anyway slackened it off, squared it up, tightened it, tryed it, it turned over now, but didnt start hmm :( Jayjay was here he suggested checking the fuel pump turns out one of the wires had popped out away from plug so he sorted that and it fired up no problem, happy days, dont know how I missed that cable though so bloody obvious :/

So easy fix in the end :)
