NA-T Ecu setup. PO's DTA S40 Pro

Hi,

I picked up a very solid NA-T late last year knowing it had a few bits to be corrected.

The previous owner(s) have swapped in the A340E and had it shimmed, the engine has a 3.2 stroker kit (not confirmed) and running a T71, 550cc EvoV injectors. I am now getting around to the engine side and will take some pictures and post

them here as the information I have on this car is limited, but I would like to get this car well sorted.

It is currently using a DTA S40 Pro ecu, which I dont think is ideal, but can anyone comment on this? (It is a 4cyl Ecu?!) How much is this ECU worth?

Fortunately my engineer spotted the ECU and wants to buy it, so. What kind of setup is ideal? Using the search I found the Infinity to be most popular choice?

My goals for this car is to make a reliable good amount of power (600-700). It will do a mixture of normal driving, road trips and track days.

The car is currently putting out near 400 and has uneven power delivery and runs rich at certain rev bands, could this be caused by the grouped cylinders by PO to make use of the S40 ecu?

Cheers!

It sounds like the ECU needs removed and replaced with a unit that'll do the job properly as you said. Get a good map on it and you should see your problems solved.

A lot of people will say to go for the Syvecs ECU and if I had the money I'd do the same! I've gone AEM EMS v2 which is a cheaper option but still very capable. I'd recommend maybe seeing what mappers you have in your nearby area to see what they can work on. No point in going AEM if there's no one around to map it!
