Scott-tt
Just a quick question I am doing the exhaust on my 1uz supra after 2.5 years it's about time I got this thing finished! So what I need to know is am I right in thinking that most cars have use an M18 thread for O2 sensors. I am making up the down pipes from the cat to the supra center section and I need to know what size the thread is so I can order an adaptor or a weld on thingy so I can put the soarer O2 sensors into the down pipes anybody got any ideas? Thanks Scott
chrispot
most cars do as you say use a M18 x 1.5. i don't know if the soarer is the same but on my tt supra it uses a flange type O2 sensor. In your post you said that you are making up downpipes from the cat, which makes me think that you are placing the O2 after the cat. O2 sensor for engine management (fueling) must go before the cat. O2 sensors used after the cat are for cat efficiency checking. hope that helps regards chris
Scott-tt
I have one before too on the manifold so what your saying is I don't really need the ones after the cat that will make things a lot simpler Cheers Chris Edited March 16, 2015 by Scott-tt (see edit history)
chrispot
hi scott. correct, not needed in your case. now pull your finger/hands out and get the exhaust done and enjoy driving your car with a smug satisfied expression of good job done. regards chris
