Big Mark
Currently running 275/35 R18 rears and 245/40 R18 tyres but need new tyres all round and tempted to up the sizes. Not sure of fronts but my rear wheels are 10J +45 offset, Would 285/35 R18 rears and 255/40 R18 fronts be ok? Wheels were purchased from Keron here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?311914-18-quot-work-meister-s2r-wheels-and-tyres-for-sale Edited March 18, 2015 by Big Mark (see edit history)
Luxluc
285 on the rear could be fine ; but I think it will be extremely close. Those 275 seem to clear the arches very close.
Big Mark
Yeah thinking that I might need a little arch roll.

Big Mark
I'm going to speak to Arch Enemy about getting arches rolled just a little I think, better safe than sorry.

David P
285's will fit at rear with the arch lip rolled or trimmed, but 295's are too large for 10J wheels. If the fronts are 8.5J, steering and handling is more responsive with 245's, better still with 235's, 255's look cool but encourage tramlining. How are 295 to large on my 10j they have been great for me ?
berg
Now ive lowered mine i get catching on the rear mines only a 265 tyre on a 10" et35 wheel lol Im guessing most people here have arches rolled already? Ive just bought a bargain set of wheels rears are 10.5 et20 which i have to try and fit without going wider arches hmm
Big Mark
Finally got those coilovers fitted then, how did it go? I've just emailed arch enemy about getting my rears rolled.
Big Mark
So regarding profiles would 255/40 R18 and 285/35 R18 be ok?
Big Mark
Got a message from my local Arch Enemy guy, he reckons on a Supra he can get an extra 20mm with an arch roll. Biggest tyre I'd put on my rear rim would be a 295 so thinking I might as well get my moneys worth then. So anyone know what aspect ratios I should be going for if I'm going 255 front and 295 rears? Supraleeturbo
So next time I buy fronts I'll be buying 255/40/18 as I have the same but 245 and rears are 295/35/18, if you go to low pro then you will start finding your ride is harder
Big Mark
Sorted, time to find good prices.................
sideexitsupra
I ran the sizes you suggest and had arch enemy roll the rear arches. No clearance issues.
Paul372
Could you post up some picture once you've had it done as I'm interested to see the out come as I will need new rear tyres soon, I currently have 275 on my 10j and if I have the option to go a little wider then I will get the arches rolled cheers
berg
From what ive read a 285/295 sits perfect with a 10J around ET35 and an arch roll

Big Mark
Tyres ordered, fingers crossed that website was up to date and that they are all in stock as was a bargain price for the size. Went for Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta and ordered all 4 for £390!!
Supraleeturbo
What was the website called As I pay just abit more than that for both rears
Shane
I run 295 Vreds on 10.5 j with an 35et and had to slice a bit of the arch out, but absolutely fine since. That's a great price, where was that from?
David P
I sold those 295's to Shane because they were suited to his 10.5J rims. My wheels were 10J and 295's were not happy. I went to Visit Vredestein Technical Guru at their HQ at Wellingborough who informed me that 295's are too large for 10 J.
Big Mark
I used Tyre Leader. I usually use Oponeo but Tyre Leader had more choice.
