Hi all,

i have a problem that i cant fix. the story:

Hade the car in the garage for the Winter, been doing some work on it and whenever I was done I started her to see if Everything is good and she allways started and worked fine. Battery has been on a charger all the time. I didn´t do any engine work, just changed coolant and oil.

So yesterday I put her on the ground to take a test drive, turned the key and she starts and turns off! No idle or anything. I started her again and pushed the accelerator and she found idle but Engine light was on... I tried to drive her but she started to smoke and run crazy so after a 40 meter drive i put her back in the garage. I have tested following:

1. disconnect battery and start, she dies.

2. Pulled diagnostics codes, flashed code 31

3. disconnected battery, connected battery and messured voltage on map sensor connect, shows 4,9V

4. replaced sensor with one that is on my friends supra, start, she dies.

5. Check codes again, code 31

So i need help, i don´t know what to do next!

If the battery has died or been disconnected then it will have reset the ECU, when first started it can run lumpy and not idle properly (especially if you have a piggyback ECU fitted), it can take a couple of miles for the ECU to relearn the settings, I'd try driving it and see if it sorts itself out.
