Irvy
getting a screeching noise on accelaration and think it may be the timing belt as its in that general area when i listen for it - sounds a lot louder when actually driving tho. if rev range heads towards 4000 quickly it starts....slow accelaration and its not there. Just need some confirmation before i go buying a new belt - this one's been on less than two years!! - or it could be tensioners!! any thoughts ?? cheers
Whitesupraboy2
the tensioner has 3 marks on it and theres one mark on the engine, the 1 mark on the engine should be between the 3 marks on the tensioner. youll see wat i mean on the car lol

Jake
Irvy, It would be a good idea to check the crank pulley hasn't seperated. There are quite a few cases of this happening lately.
garethr
Do you mean the timing belt or the serpentine belt?
