jza800
I have a question for a mate, he has been mounting the main bearings on his crank, where he unfortunately ran into a problem with the last on, When he tighten the last main bearing cap he hit ONE of the edges which I have marked with a white arrow, dont now what edges he hit, but it got a Little stuck but the cap got into place when he tighten it, is there room enough between the bearing and crankshaft that he has not damaged the bearing or crankshaft?? and as the engine was in the car, he changed it from under the car on a clean place.. Chris Wilson
"Your mate" needs to take the cap off again and see if he's chipped any material off the block or the cap. Crank swaps with the block in the car are rarely satisfactory. You might have to drop the crank again for a proper look see
