Syvecs Voltage Output

Recommended Posts

Am I right in saying that the outputs on the Syvecs can be configured to either 12v or 5v? I believe the output for my rev counter has been set at 5v when it needs to be 12v (it has a 1kohm resistor in place to pull down the voltage).

It's the only thing I have left as to the reason why my tacho isn't working. I've been on it all day and there are no issues at all with the connections.

Thanks

Scott

Had a worrying thought that the cluster may not be working. Fuel gauge was definitely working, temperature gauge was definitely working but I couldn't be sure about the speedo. It's on axl e stands anyway so gave it a quick run in 3rd. Worked a treat, so it's definitely just the tacho that's not working.

I have indeed mate, I spoke to Ryan about it too but didn't get a reply. I have the solution though so that's 1 thing i can tick off, thanks to the Syvecs forum.

It turns out that the older Syvecs units (Solaris) only output 5v via pin 12 rather than 12v. It's believed to be a hardware change so there's no way of changing it via a jumper. the solution is to use one of the other 12v pins (19,20,21) for the pullup instead.

Cheers :)
