2soops Posted March 5, 2015 Share Posted March 5, 2015 It's the top side that usually rusts, when I took mine off all the dirt, stones and moisture had got trapped between the cover and the tank and rusted. I took mine off when it was imported so it had never seen salt etc as a result it came off in 5 minutes with no fuss it also didnt have a spec of rust.. If I remember correctly there are 4-5 10mm bolts holding it on its a very simple job you will need to jack/axle stand the rear of the car and get under to do it though. you will see..
