Diff lsd

The crown wheel and pinion (main gears) in the axle are the limiting factors. the larger 6 speed diff has bigger gears and takes more torque. Adding Giken or TRD LSD components won't increase the torque capacity of the basic axle. With both types of LSD section you retain and re-use the crown wheel and pinion gears. Whether a Giken oir TRD LSD parts are better suited depends on your use of the car when done.

Sorry for the off topic OP but...

Chris, do you have any of the diff shims to hand?

I could do with an idea of the inner & outer diameters of the side & front shims if possible.

I want to see if I've anything here to suit my upcoming rebuild with a Cusco unit.

I thought I had, but no, none around, sorry, and I'd be guessing if I attempted to remember the sizes, sorry mate! You'll have to either buy one of each and use them as patterns, or wait until you strip yours. Sorry!!

Ah no worries Chris, I guess you'd have chimed in on the other thread if you could've helped, but thanks anyway.
