walkerstrider
Just been out in the na and was running fine, then I noticed the steering go heavy the oil light and abs light came on aswell as the orange box. Stopped straight away and turned it off. Tried to start only for it to click and not turn over. Tried again 10 minutes later started fine with no lights. For about 2 minutes! This time I carried on driving, now the engine runs fine but the clocks are all over the place the dash clock isnt illuminated and I have the same 3 lights. Power steering is also extremely heavy and the windows and wipers opperate but extremely slowly. Also takes a while to pull away being an auto. Im thinking something to do with the alternater but then im no mechanic! Any ideas?
Stevo
Sounds like it is definitely the alternator mate

supra joe
Check the battery clamps. I went through changing alternators and all sorts... Turns out that it wasn't bolted on properly and was a tad loose. Also check the actual wire to the terminal as mine was loose. I had exact same problems as you... Cost a small fortune lol. supra joe
It looked like it was bolted on fine but still wasn't and a bump in the road basically threw up allsorts of warnings because the wire was loose.

Just checked everythings tight, terminals fine too altho covered in oil. I guess its not likely to be a fuse.
