bayside_supra
Hi everyone I know this may have been asked before but I can't find an exact answer. I have an Isotta Evoluzione wheel as pictured to fit but I cannot make sense of what boss kit to buy. My car is a 93 aerotop TT manual. It has a horrible original wheel with the airbag and cruise control stalk. The cruise control has never worked though so I'm guessing this was just something that was lost when the car had a new engine and gearbox??? I am not too fussed about cruise but I don't want the airbag light on. I also don't want the steering wheel to stick out anymore than standard so I can reach the indicators in the same way. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Driftworks seems to have loads of them but which one do I need?????
keron
Check if your car actually has airbags as standard. Sounds like the wheel could have been just stuck on maybe.... Was the chassis a na before or tt? Edited February 26, 2015 by keron (see edit history)
bayside_supra
Yes I believe it was an na. It doesn't have traction control either. How would I check for the airbag for sure?
bayside_supra
Anyone?
bayside_supra
Bump. Anyone got any advice here? I don't have the first idea which one to get.
bayside_supra
I don't seem to getting anywhere on this one.... Perhaps someone could tell me if the steering wheel I have fitted is the correct one for the car. I am trying to answer kerons query of whether the car actually has airbags and cruise at all. It is an sz chassis na converted to a TT 6 speed. This is the steering wheel in it. Any advise would be much appreciated guys.
Ric
it's a normal pre-facelift Airbag wheel. You'd need a cruise control compatible boss if you want to keep that too. Hkb Boss Kit OT-156 keeps the cruise and will fit your isotta If you don't need the cruise or if it doesent work just buy any normal supra one. ripped_fear
As far as im aware the Na never had cruies control as an option, may be wrong. This would lead me to think it was changed. Maybe the donor car had cruise and they swapped the wheel at the same time. Show us a picture of the cars engine and its easy to tell if cruise is fitted. There will be the modules in the top left corner of the bay.
bayside_supra
Thanks people I will get a pic of the engine bay later. What about the steering wheel sticking out further then standard? I want it to be about the same distance away from me so I can still reach the still reach the stalks. Which boss is a short one?
Samsar
My NA has cruise control so it looks like it was an option when new.
bayside_supra
Here are a couple of pics of my engine bay. Hopefully these will answer the cruise control question???? Then if anyone can answer the length question as I really don't want the wheel to stick out really far.
ripped_fear
I might be wrong but looks like that the bracket for the cruise and nothing else. This is the cruise control module.
keron
There is nothing there to say you have cruise control ...
bayside_supra
Ok that clears that up, I am not fussed about cruise anyway. So can anyone tell me which boss won't make my steering wheel stick out miles? Or are they all the same length?

bayside_supra
Ok and does anyone know about the airbags? How would I tell if the car is supposed to have one or not? Is there a light I should look out for on ignition?
Ric
Have a look under the armrest, the Airbag ECU should be there, with Yellow covered cable loom going to it.
