walkerstrider
Not sure if im in the right section, wondering what I should ask for a 94 Na aerotop, standard other than a cat back exhaust and panel filter. Body work is faded and has the usual stone chips and the sills will need patching up for mot which runs out in june. At the minute the car is matt black original paint is silver. Service history is extensive and complete. Belts where done around 40 000 miles ago. Biggest downfall is mileage which is 350 000 kilometers, around 250 000 miles. Any input would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
Gaz6002
Can't be worth much more than £1,500 with that sort of paint job and miles.
Ric
I think 1500 is generous too by the sounds of it.
evinX
Id like to see an aero valued a bit more, but in matt black, sills need work and high miles. its going to be the lowest value. Which id say is £1200.
Gaz6002
I think 1500 is generous too by the sounds of it. I was thinking that, but the shell must be worth a bit, being an OEM aero?
j_jza80
I'd say £1500 with a fresh MOT, and the welding done to a basic (but neat) standard. IMO you would be better off breaking the car.
Ric
I was thinking that, but the shell must be worth a bit, being an OEM aero? For a nice shell, sure, but the OP has talked about patching up sills etc, what other rust/damage exists, just a guess.
walkerstrider
Thanks, thats was I was thinking.
Ric
Thanks, thats was I was thinking. If this is the shell you where talking about converting to TT also, i'd seriously think about that carefully if the shell isn't in great condition, IMO of course. walkerstrider
Only other rust is a couple of spots on rear arches no other damage. I was just being optimistic as I want a tt.
Rich.2211
If the shell isn't great and the engine has got stellar mileage then it hasn't really got much going for it to be honest. Stick it on eBay with a bit of tidying up and it may sell between £1200-£1600
Hitbox Junkie
Get some work done on the shell and drop a TT in it. But the shell would have to be in good order before that up to a high slandard. But as it is Id say better off breaking the car or ebay it in less you are gunna put the effort in to restore it and convert Aeros are the best in my opinion
walkerstrider
Yeah think Im gonna take it off the road and do it properly. Gonna miss driving it though
walkerstrider
Well after deciding to keep and convert myself out of the blue I get asked how much I'd be willing to sell for. So I said it would have to be at least 2000 which he says he would pay. Now I'm in a dilemma! What to do? Opinions below.

j_jza80
as above, that is a very good offer.
Hitbox Junkie
Good offer but what is it that you want to do? Id be on the other side of the fence thinking id love to put the effort into it and build it up
walkerstrider
Problem is finding another one cheap as I must have a supra! What will I be looking at for a standard tt?
j_jza80
£4k plus.
Hitbox Junkie
TT auto 4-7K and more for top condition. TT6 10k-14K again all depends on condition aeros add another 1-3K and then manuals what ever someone is willing to pay
dangerous brain
Even if you are going to do it yourself you have to consider that time is money and even minimum wage the time cleaning up a bone of a shell, stripping it out and putting right an iffy paint job will take just makes it unviable. You've got a £2k offer IMO wake up and smell the beans, take the money and save for a TT or look at another supra in the £2k margin that is a better startup car. You can get 5 speed N/As with less miles and definitely auto N/As for that money. You really want a challenge buy the shell thats begging at Kerons right now for the £400 its offered for and get building with the £1600 spare cash youve got
walkerstrider
One problem, mines an Aero top. There's no way I'd get another for 2000.
walkerstrider
Doesn't seem to be any for that sort of money.
