j_jza80
Nice results guys, torque curve looks savage! Surprised how early the 6466 spools I suspect there's something wrong with the torque chart

MattP
2412 lbft is that what gave the gearbox/converter fault away? Lee must have been pouring SRD glitter in the Box
Chris Bailey
Thanks guys, happy with the numbers! Unfortunately we have a gearbox issue, lost 3rd gear on the dyno and then reverse gear. I also believe it lost all gears at one stage. Hopefully its just a torque converter fault. If not it could be something more serious like the gearbox itself. Lee's going to look into it today. Lee P
2412 lbft is that what gave the gearbox/converter fault away? Lee must have been pouring SRD glitter in the Box Lol... That's how the hub dyno works. You divide the torque figure by the ratio It was 550ftlbs but we had a problem with the TC or gearbox hence the slipping

Only one thing for it unfortunately, you'll just have to convert to six speed.....

Wont go 6spd, hoping it's just the torque converter. The gearbox was ok on the last setup.
np89
Yours is a built box isnt it? I wonder can you get a stronger TC than stock without being a hi stall
Chris Bailey
Yours is a built box isnt it? I wonder can you get a stronger TC than stock without being a hi stall Yeah Boostlogic box. I know you can have the stock TC rebuilt. Not sure about strengthen it. They are strong units from the factory. Just obviously dont like it when you throw mad torque and power at them. mellonman
Even with the issues you still gained about 700rpm for full torque , shame that there is a problem though . You can have a stock TC rebuilt in the uk I had mine done google JPAT , the slipping if its the lock up clutch can be replaced but it all costs more then you could pick up a spare TC for but I was looking into other things. Best of luck with it though

Frank Bullitt
Unfortunately the BL boxes are known to do this, Titan or ATF Speed would be a safe bet if buying a new box.
Rob W
That's such a shame to hear, typically had to be the most expensive thing that was at fault. I thought there was a Titan built box up for sale from the car that Lee was breaking, could be an option.

jcbt
The built box $#@! itself? Not quite it's not totally gone - looks like the clutches are ok no bad burning smell. Might just be seals but won't know full extent until box is stripped and check obvious bits. Will take Lees advice on whether it needs further strengthening like SRD spec boxes. Fit for purpose springs to mind Not sure what the actual figure they quote it at is, although I do remember briefly seeing that the BL box doesnt like being used in manual mode. Which obviously we would have been doing with the syvecs flappy paddle conversion.
