hogmaw
First of all, where to get a new fuse from? Secondly, how to replace? It looks like it's stuck down somehow.
TheTurtleshead
If this is the alternator fuse in the glove box, then you need to undo the 2 x 10mm bolts holding the fuse board down, and the 1x 12mm bolt under the red plastic flap with a '+' on top. Then you will be able to unbolt the fuse from below.
hogmaw
It's the bottom left one in the pic below, in the fuse box under the bonnet next to the battery. It may well be the alternator one as there are no electrics working at all; no speedo, no lights, no electric windows, no dash fan, no indicators... TheTurtleshead
Yup - You need to unbolt the fuse board and unbolt the fuse from below.
hogmaw
Thanks for the info Is this the correct replacement? Looks similar but not sure http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171356785825?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

bignum
Have you had a battery charger or jumper pack connected , getting the polarity wrong normally pops this baby, you`ll be lucky if you havn`t blown the ignitor pack also.
RobUK
I'll bet you haven't blown it, I thought the same 2 weeks ago, it was my battery that was fooked, but I went down the route of changing that fuse... I got it from Steve Manley at Oxford Toyota for £14 I think.... Only to find out it was the battery... If you can wait until after this weekend I can bring down my battery and fuse to try if you want....
hogmaw
Top marks Bignum, I had to jump start it this morning not having started it for about a month. I had to take a guess with the jump leads as the battery on the donor car wasn't marked black/red... looks like I guessed wrong! I should have looked closer to see if there was a -ve and +ve marked but too late now. The car does start and does drive, but with no electrics. Fuse is deffo blown. I just have to find one now. Scott
It's always this time of year that sees this happening. Look on the bright side though, you won't do it again. I know from experience lol. I got the spare fuse from Keron I believe.

When minw blew/cracked (From old age) I could not start and drive the car. I'd check all the other fuses as well before you do anything else. ballsdeep
Mine doesn't even have a fuse! Terminals have been bridged? never had any issues though. Think it's time I sorted this!
