Tommyd16
Was having a little poke around the engine and I noticed a what I think a hose is missing. Was only a quick look so didn't have time to have a good look around as it was only a minute ago but I take it there should be a hose here; http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/02/17/8d1bb1a99fc53e4d9ed6adc7b19c2b09.jpg One of these is missing. Can't remember which one. Where should they go? Cheers!
Ian C
One goes to the throttle body before the butterfly, one goes to the plenum just after the butterfly. The valve on the PAS pump lets air bypass the butterfly to raise the idle slightly when using the power steering at rest/coasting so the extra load on the engine doesn't cause idle problems. If you've not go a hose connected to the post-butterfly barb on the plenum you might find you've got a high idle, around 1200rpm
Tommyd16
Excellent cheers. I have noticed a high idle in the last week. Was going to clean the iavc but I guess this hose must of popped off. Little bugger! Thanks mate
