speedo cluster not working. help needed

hello all

 

my speedo stopped working a few days now. i opened up the dash and took out the cluster. at the back where the circuit/wiring is i noticed on either side there is, what i assume, to be damage.

 

please have a look at the pictures and confirm for me please if this is why the cluster is not working. both fuse boxes where checked and all is good.

 

also to clarify, ALL the guages are not working. it lights up fine but none of the guages are working.

Yes, that would most likely be the cause. How did that happen? Is it burnt or did it get damaged during removal?

I've never seen one go like that! I would suggest that you have a short somewhere in order for it to have gone like that. Check all your aftermarket wiring etc first.

Yes recently I was blowing the dash fuse because the horn wiring was iffy. I suspect this is what messed it up. I'm having it checked tomorrow to see if it can be repaired. thanks for the input guys. Much appreciated.
