jza800
I have been having the most off the car apart, and have put most of the car together Again, except the engine and harness, can it be true that i cant turn on the slip off controle button without the engine in the car? should it not turn the green light on in the dash?? or is that not posible without the engine in the car??? WHO knows that???

jza800
i just had the whole car disassembled due renovation, and almost put the Whole car together, except motor and wiring harness on the engine, since I still need a bit there, so would test all the buttons inside the car, and everything seems normal, except button on slip off, so just wanted to know if THAT was normal since the engine not is mounted in the car yet? jza800
ok, i really hope someone have the answer to my question, so i can put the rest together inside the car, so i can concentrate on my engine
heckler
I'd just put it all back together - you dont test an engine before you refit it... That's what we do with the aircraft I work on
heckler
To be honest - I dont think that's is anything anyone has tried. As long as everything is put back together correctly it should work - its only a handful of connector, and ecu or two and some wires
jza800
Yes but it would be a bit annoying to have to disassemble the dashboard from each other Again if it should be able to activate the slip off light in the dash, without the engine in the car, if it examble was a wirring problem.. so it would be nice if someone knows that it is normal that it not turn on, on the dash, because the engine and harness not is refittet to the car yet Edited February 14, 2015 by jza800 (see edit history)
np89
Well considering the trac control is attached to the inlet and the engine loom and to the trac fuse in the engine bay, if you dont have the engine in and the loom connected, the button isnt going to do much.....
