Yarco
My Supra has been hard to live with in many ways since I've owned it (engine detonated recently). Recently it took me three months to get the right pads to fit my car and I had to stop driving it completely because I had no brakes! I bought a JDM pair didn't fit, UK spec didn't fit and every brake specialist I went to had no idea. The car came over from Japan with 4 pot Brembos, nothing fancy, seen them a million times right? Well after 4 different garages and endlessly getting no where I sent a picture and measurements to EPC and BANG, they found some that fitted. Great I thought but when the packet arrived I got a bit of a shock (see attached). Now where the hell did this Jap owner get these! I found it amusing, overs may not. Scoot
Has he put GTR Rear calipers and discs on the front?
Scott
Take your pick the next time.... http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/racing-caliper-brake-pads/brembo-20-4862-05-caliper
Yarco
Has he put GTR Rear calipers and discs on the front? Don't think so, they don't look brand new, good condition but they must be ten years old so I'm going with "they came off a Ferrari F50"

I searched the brakes you bought and they brought up the Brembo part number. I'm guessing that whoever you got them from did the reverse

This is why I kept the box, always good for reference!

costas1
i have the same breaks mate..these are brembo gran turismo..the codes on the pads simply mean that all these other supercars use them..no worries..order a set of EBC pads (red-great pads by the way with no dust coming out) and when you make the order make sure to order pads for F40-or F50.they are the same...all good
bignum
Avoid anything ebc its junk.

Thorin
I set some red stuff pads on fire on a track day once.
bignum
I set some red stuff pads on fire on a track day once. Same here, the thing was they didn`t work at all from cold!, Ferodo, Pagid, pf, porterfield all good pads.
Chris Wilson
I now keep my famous fast road compound pads for those calipers (and the fronts of the R35 too). When you find how bad that Yellow Stuff is give me a shout for a great price
Yarco
Chaps the pads I got where yellow stuff (see pic), much better than red stuff. Before my engine blew I was very impressed with them, especially when breaking at high speed with no fade. However I don't do track days but yellow stuff is for track use anyway. They take a while to heat up but they have excellent friction.
Chris Wilson
When you try some alternatives you'll see just how dire they really are. Not saying try mine, most competitor compounds are better, especially if you are willing to spend a few more ££££'s.
Dim Sum
If you read around Chris's pads are well worth it. Im currently running full set of fast road pads from Chris and i won't go back. I was using EBC yellow before. You will notice the difference.
Yarco
It's a good point guys. Yellow stuff have only proven to be better than what I originally had. I'll try other brands next but I've always been happy with EBC on every car I've ever had. Plus EBC where the only company who confirmed what pads I actually needed. Hindsight, should of come on here sooner.
