Whifbitz pulley set doesn't fit with standard fan belt?

Mine looks exactly like that. And I have mounted it like that. With the engine behind.

You should be able to tell if its on the right way By just looking down the line of the belt Jonny, if its on wrong the belt wont line up properly with the tensioner, it will go on but look out of alignment

 

The pulleys a lot wider than the belt so it's hard to tell mate.

If you have a look at the picture I posted compared to your last pic, it looks as if the side that you have showed was fouling on something engine side. Are you sure that the pulley isn't designed to go on with the damaged face out........? I understand the logo would be on the inside, but what if the etching was on the wrong side?

You have fitted it around the wrong way, I don't think you can bolt it on around the wrong way unless you space it out somehow?

 

That's the thing though Paul. It was fitted with the logo out, so the logo must have been on the wrong side.

New bearing in. Fitted what I would say is the wrong was around. Working spot on.

 

Annoying really about the fact it's logo is now on the inside. Which was very misleading when fitting.

 

It shouldn't be. It's been a mistake at the etchers.
