ripped_fear
Get a propper import size one made, thats what I had, although I havent run a plate for a year and a half now and no problem. FYI you can get points for illegal plates but only a fine for no plate at all
James
Get a 5 digit personal plate and have that made up in import letter size. https://scontent-b-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/v/t1.0-9/10489772_10152186100813021_9168368545533641753_n.jpg?oh=8a2b8db3db1b214e2ebe4d6a6f46f094&oe=555F66BC
supra_ufo
I had mine done via Jurgen, there road legal and it has his business stamped on the bottom. They cant really argue against someone who imports cars for a living. I've decided to take it off though and will be running it in my sun visor until I get in trouble. btw not to everyones taste but having a private plate with less digits and letters helps

And what is the size Edited February 5, 2015 by Supraleeturbo (see edit history)
Willson
Its the fact that they only have 5 characters that means you can fit them all on a smaller plate with the characters at legal height. Cost of 5 char reg is £500 from DVLA, cost to make up plates ~£10?
Style
I have a Jurgen plate that's the same size and fully legal. It's just a regular N reg plate

The only iffy bit is that we can put the sunvisor back to hide it https://www.gov.uk/displaying-number-plates/overview

This is something I did a lot of research into back in the day, and spoke to a couple of traffic coppers about it so I'd be less likely to get pulled all the time. Besides, ANRP cameras won't read behind your windscreen, so they can't make any money from you. They hate that.
