jamesmark
He could potentially do both. I would love to see him at William's again. But winter break and BBC to schedule shows where he is not at races. Could work
T2 MSW
would be good to see him in Williams. Stands a better chance of getting up the grid than where he is now.
Swampy442
Thats only if Bottas goes to Ferrari, I could see Jenson going to Williams though, he still has a lot to offer.
Alex
Thats only if Bottas goes to Ferrari, I could see Jenson going to Williams though, he still has a lot to offer. He would have been 2 tenths in front of Alonso in Quali if he'd had the electric assist he should have. He's got a lot to offer. And is a sponsors dream in comparison to many. Dnk
Won't there be new talent trying to grab any spare seats as well, that would make sense to put a rising star next to Massa if VB goes to Ferrari
Style
Will also leave Raikkonen without a seat. Maybe McLaren for him? I don't think Alonso will be around for much longer either
Dnk
Will also leave Raikkonen without a seat. Maybe McLaren for him? I don't think Alonso will be around for much longer either Alonso will stay at McLaren imo, at least for another year depending if they can make some serious genuine progress by the end of this season. Raikkonen to retire if he leaves Ferrari would be my guess
Alex
IMO, KR will retire (he said Ferrari will be the last team) VB to Ferarri JB to Williams Alex Lynn to stay as test and reserve for Williams Joleyon Palmer to replace Maldonado Kevin Magnesson or Stoffel VanDorne to McLaren next to Alonso JB won't go if McLaren want him next to Alonso. In that scenario I can see McLaren paying Williams to take Kevin or Stoffel as they have an embarrasment of riches. Alex Lynn is being lined up to replace Massa, not Valteri, just not next year. Gaz6002
Palmer can't get anywhere near the cash Maldonado brings in, though. The fact he's been allowed to crash last for so long in F1 shows that matters rather a lot.
Alex
Indeed - it depends on Genii getting their sh*t together - there's catches to all!
Dnk
Raikkonen to stay at Ferrari for 2016 !!! http://www.skysports.com/f1/news/12474/9956821/ferrari-retain-kimi-raikkonen-and-sebastian-vettel-for-2016
Alex
Blown my thoughts on the driver market up! Silly season has gotten a bit less silly
Swampy442
I guess they couldn't get Bottas from Williams.
Dnk
Should be an interesting start with new rules banning any assistance with the clutch bite point once the car has left the garage http://www.skysports.com/f1/news/32420/9953920/starting-afresh-in-f1-why-the-sport-has-changed-its-start-procedures
Alex
I guess they couldn't get Bottas from Williams. It's rumoured that Williams' price tag for him was too much! I guess with only 1 year left on his contract Ferarri decided they could wait till he's free.
johnny g
So, are we thinking it might well be status quo for next year? RAI at Ferrari, BOT at Williams. I guess BUT is the only unknown in the major teams?
Dnk
Vandoorne must be eyeing up Buttons seat
johnny g
Vandoorne must be eyeing up Buttons seat That'd be logical, but Williams might have an eye on Palmer?
Alex
I can't see much change now. Nico H might just move to Le Mans Series racing. The weak drivers have lots of money and the rest are just doing a good job. There isn't much change needed. Manor would love a bigger fish to drive investment...but well I just don't know where they are going. There is another factor in the shape of HAAS assuming that car arrives. With HEAVY Ferrari backing. I expect Alexander Rossi to be involved (maybe as a 3rd) and Esteban Gutiérrez to drive alongside another. Now they may get someone in the twighlight of their career to lead the team. Not Button. But it would be a coup to lure Massa, depends if Massa really thinks he can win with Williams, or if a big pay cheque to end te career would be best. There are too many great drivers without an option. They literally need more cars. But they can't do that till CVC and FOM are removed as there's no apetite in big corps to do business with them. Swampy442
I think Button's seat is secure for next season, they are very happy with his work so far.

johnny g
So, no evidence of an upturn in performance for McLaren. They're 23kph down on the straight, but 2nd fastest out of Stavelot. Chassis is ok, then. Pastor in the wall again in first practice ! You seem surprised?!
Dnk
Not looking good for McLaren No not surprised just a shame he brings so much cash as i'd like to see someone else in the seat, he's just not up to it I wonder how much of his cash has gone to fixing the damage he keeps doing ?
