far
the hike spike seems to have gone unoticed for one reason or another. At least the petrol strikes caused some havoc !
Bobbeh
Its gonna go up with Europe shipping all our emergency Petrol stock to the US, as they have about 8 refineries out of action due to the Hurracane
Kopite
Paid 98.9p at my local Shell. Annoyin because 6 months ago it was 87.9p!! Petrol tanker driver at the local Shell came over chattin about the car etc, he was sayin that the drivers here are in favour of a blockade of refilling the stations! Said they would go along with it if cars got in there way etc! Interestin.....
Supragal
errr. What petrol strike?
magicmatty
Sadly we are all to "un-revolutionary"... We all sit at home, expertly moaning about how expensive it is..but NOBODY does anything... The strikes just put everybody out..then we moaned more and just paid for it... I cant see anything changing til someone leads us in a revolt, or a quiet walk into london to chunter about petrol prices.....if thats OK with everyone else??? Kopite
i'd happily go along with any kind of action. Blockades, go slow protests, not payin other taxes, anything! Just cannot be arsed with payin these prices, might sell the fooker and get a mountain bike!!
Bobbeh
might sell the fooker and get a mountain bike!! Thats exactly what they want you to do, either that or get on a bus/train.
Kopite
Thats exactly what they want you to do, either that or get on a bus/train. Aye! I got a supra when i did (still young and not really able to properly afford it). Wanted to get one before owning a car is outlawed!
magicmatty
Exactly....the day a bus drives (sorry) - stops outside my house, then drives me comfortably 50 miles to work, and gets me there for 7am, and brings me home again, as reliably than the car...Ill gladly take it! (ps: not cycling 50 miles each way!)
Bobbeh
Yup, its just a shame they way they seem to have to force people like this instead of educate them, but then again industry doesnt help by building thirstier cars!

magicmatty
Upping the price of fuel all day long will NOT reduce polution...nor will it reduce traffic or help the environment... It does, however....raise a cr4pload of cash...to give away!! Tax goes up and up.....spending it on the roads goes down.... Speed cameras go up......so do accidents... Congestion charge...Oh yeah..London traffic is SO much better now.....although actually it's not any better at all! But someones made a cr4pload of cash... Do they REALLY believe we are all stupid?????????????

Off round a mates now for a session of GT4 & larger. Ill see if i can keep my revs below 2500K the whole way there Have a good night all.
