mharvey
Hi all, I have a slight issue that doesn't seem to be all that common (2 friends with Supra's don't have the issue and one is on his fourth supra). I have water collecting on the inside of the doors, on and under the plastic kick plate. As a result of this pooling when the doors closed (it literally runs out when the door is opened) there is some minor rust. This is being sorted tomorrow when it goes in for a respray but I want to prevent it going forward. None of the seals are obviously damaged or leaking, anybody had this issue and sorted it? Thanks in advance

Chris Wilson
You may find the water proof plastic membrane over the apertures of the inner panel of the door are punctured or missing. Common when some "audiofool" decides he wants thumping bass to declare low IQ to the world at large, and decimates the door water proofing fitted some Chinese wonder speaker, courtesy of Ebay or Halfords. Apologies for my rant, my beer was warm last night and I am grumpy today.

At least you got beer, my local ran out of Tribute, then offered us real ale drinkers some rubbish called Blitzen from the black sheep brewery, awful stuff, not impressed one bit !! No idea regarding the water problem apart from the seals are knackered where the window slides up and down. Take the interior door panel off and pour water down the outside of the glass and see if it gets in that way, with the window up and door open Edited January 17, 2015 by Dnk (see edit history)

mharvey
Pic of exactly where will help Could it be getting into the door ? Not with the car at the moment unfortunately, it's on the top of the sill where there's a plastic kick plate. Inside door is dry. Haha you rant is pretty justified but unfortunately the plastic inners seem to be intact and they speakers etc are OEM (and very broken). Ric
I had this on my aerotop, Take your A pillar covers off and see if it's wet around there, water seems to get in past the seal holders and runs down the apillars onto the kickplates
