brom86
Hopefully someone can help me out here. Am fitting a new central locking system soon as when I got the car it didn't have 1. So I have been using the door lock to lock the car. As the weather had got bad over the last month or so my drivers door lock had been getting tighter and tighter. Now it won't lock or unlock, just won't move. I'm needing to lock it by stretching in from the passenger seat. Passenger 1 locks ok but doesn't lock the drivers door at same time. Also now I can't open the boot with the key. I am assuming it's linked. There anyway to fix this without getting all new locks?? Tried wd40 into the lock. RobUK
From what I remember the lock links via a metal bar and plastic clip to the door lock. It might be worth taking the door card off and having a look... Boot lock is similar if I remember correctly so just take the rear boot panel off
