Rear fog switch placement?

I have new dash panels from Dave and they look great but now I need to mount my fog switch. Where have people put it?

If you look on the back of the ignition dash panel you will see a rectangle in the moulding where on the UK spec the fog light switch is located.

That's where I had it but I wanted to move my boost controller to there

You could put it below the stereo mate you should have a blank module out of the 3?

Think they are slightly too small plus have a slight curve to them. I might put it in that little vent bit by the cig lighter

I wired my rear fogs to the front fog switch and used the cat over temp warning in the dash as an indicator that they are on, don't know how the fogs operate on your car, i suspect that you could use a relay to operate rear fogs, and put an led in anywhere as an indicator.

 

this way you can use the space for something else, only draw back is you have to have both front and rear fogs together, i rarely use my fogs, so not a problem to me. hope this helps

That "little vent bit" is part of the aircon system.

 

When my car was imported, I asked them not to mount the fig switch, as I didn't want the dash damaging. I think I'll mount mine in the panel between the steering column and pedals.
