Bluudy
Hey everyone, Im wanting to remove my full working active Aero, so i can sell as i wont be needing it. What do i need to remove so it can be used on another car? The Aero and mechanism, The Button on the dash, weres the ECU located? and is there anything else? How much is this worth? Thanks Luke
np89
ECU is behind the radio panel, says something like "Spoiler Assy Control" on it, the button in the cabin and then the spoiler mechanism itself as well as the undertray as the undertray allows them to function properly and they are a bit useless without it. Pricewise they are worth what someone is willing to pay but £100+ is a good starting point for a fully functioning one. At this point I am also going to call first dibs on it as well when you do remove it, if you dont mind!. lol Edited January 8, 2015 by np89 (see edit history)
Bluudy
Ok Thanks for the Info, so its just 3 pieces really? 4 with the under tray, do you mean the main big under tray that covers the whole bottom of the engine? Unfortunately Jase2009, messaged me at 16:54 and requested first dibs lol.
np89
No just the bit under the front bumper, its stiffer than the usual one and the spoiler kind of folds up into it. Yea there is a loom that the active spoiler plugs into but I think they all have it and its just a matter of plugging the spoiler into it, but dont quote me on it as that might not be correct. Aww but I've been so helpful lol

np89
I dont have mine either, its NR in my opinion but i know it is there to help cooling per toyota as a primary function. Hasnt hurt my car at 600bhp lol

np89
A mate of mine did NA-T, he said for the cost of it he wishes he'd just bought the TT setup and gone from there. Personal preference though im sure
Bluudy
That might be true, but im a mechanic, and i like the hands on approach. Im going to learn loads while doing this, And thats what i want more than anything! Eventually i may by a TT, or make a aero 6 speed TT
Bluudy
The Aero is off! IT does have this small bit of damage on the tray, but doesnt effect any operation, Still havent found the ECU for it, were is it?
