Kopite
Optimax, BP Ultimate, Esso SUL, Tesco 99 if you can find any. Not a good idea usin 95ron petrols on j-specs
hadyn
Optimax all day and everyday. my car doesnt feel 100% on 97RON such as BP ultimate or generic super unleaded
carl0s
the ECU should retard timing if it needs to, so you'll just be running with less power by driving on regular unleaded (95ron), although it's commonly thought that J-Specs would not be safe on 95 ron, I can't see why considering this. I use Optimax where I can. There is quite a noticable difference between regular unleaded and super-unleaded on the turbo cars. Optimax is just another SUL as far as I'm concerned, but I do at least think that Shell petrol is probably reasonable quality.
Pig
I didnt think there was a difference but filled up with optimax today. use bp ultimate lots but nothing compares to optimax. worth the extra
dangerous brain
I can't seem to see any difference between the tesco 99 ron or optimax or BP ultimate or Esso super. Only 1 I do know my car doesn't like is sainsburies Super. It only dets on that if you beast it up to 1.2 bar for more than a few seconds. dangerous brain
Really thats weird mine doesn't mind sainsburies SUL until you boot it and mines pushing a lot of horses. That said mine is running water injection. Now when that aint working you know about it.

carl0s
remember to fuel up before motorways where possible. it will be over the £1 a litre at services. tt steve. £1.09 at services today and I think (maybe I was seeing wrong) it was £1.009 at the Esso in Altrincham. First time I've seen more than 2 digits after the dot!
