Guest jj0201
I hope this is in the correct section! Decided to give launch control a go, didn't end too well! Basically used launch control for the first time, everything went well and as it should until i tried to take it out of first gear to put it into second, I physically couldn't get it out of first gear. I braked and pressed the clutch pedal down to come to a stop and even when i pressed the clutch pedal it still stayed in gear, basically nearly stalled so just switched the car off. Now when the car is running it wont go into gear at a stand still, has to be rolling (approx 5mph+) With the engine off it does go in and out of gear no problem. Gearbox: V160 Clutch: RPS clutch plate, horsepowerfreaks bronze clutch disc Any advice welcome!
Morzy2k5
It sounds like a clutch problem to me.as if it engages the gears fine with the engine not running that rules out gear select issues.the give away is that when you pressed the clutch it didn't dis-engage,thus keeping it engaged in 1st gear making the car try/stall

Chris Wilson
You've welded the friction plate to the floywheel. Just why did you think doing this was a good idea? Just removing the gearbox could now be a drama....
