Possible groupbuy interest thread; OEM black carpet.

OK Guys, So checked pricing, dealer price in UK as well as over here for the front carpet is more than 1K.

So I am currently working on pricing from Japan and shipping costs.

Another alternative is for us to produce a good quality floor carpet ourselves. Like we do for the floor mats.

They would be imitation but good fit and quality plus less expense.

I would like to hear people's thoughts on this, as OEM will obviously not be cheap.

Very interested in a self produced carpet.

Your floor mats are beautiful, so you would be the man to do a black carpet replica!

Depending on price I'd be in for a carpet replica and also a set of floor mats.

How much you think would be such a carpet replica?

Difference in costs is key on this one, if there's not much difference then OEM may be better.

Would the replica offer any benefits such as being lighter? Or for those who have changed seats/mounts, allowing us to have a fully carpeted option to cover holes for OEM bolts?

Im confused, is this thread for a black OEM carpet? or a replica?

Japans prices is £450quid for a black OEM carpet, you said yours would be cheaper than this, i assumed for an OEM one?

OEM Yes, but I am looking into possibilities of making a good quality replica and i Am still trying to get a good price on shipping to make it worth while.

Obviously it's already half price of what's being asked over here. So that helps anyway.

Ill scrap that idea that's way more than I was expecting.

I am not selling the 1K ones obviously, as roc said. It would be for £450 or something less if possible!

We are working on this right now...

We would offer the new carpet without holes.

This allows you to place your old carpet on top and make the holes and if need be

Mod where needed to your requirements.

This also makes for a cleaner look.

This makes the replica more interesting for me, I have custom brackets that have left the OEM holes showing - bolting through the carpet is an easy job!

Would you be able to make the replica carpet lighter than the original, or is it too early to say?

Bump,

Info update,

Costs per carpet will be 600 GBP all inclusive if we get up to about 3/5 orders.

It will be about cheaper if we get more for combining shipping.

I am not making any money on this and am just looking to help everyone out that wants a new one.

Take note, that shipping from japan would cost an easy 300 or more just for the carpet when ordering yourself.

I would like to hear serious interest only, this is not a cheap option, but its a cheaper OEM NEW option rather than buying local.
