Ian.
I'd be surprised that a well respected firm like Abbey Motorsport would recommend using a set of normal 350z coilovers on a custom project like this. Having seen their impressive work with Skylines, they don't appear to be the sort of company that cuts corners. Probably because they aren't required and a set of coilovers are fine. Ofcourse your the expert when it comes to swapping a 2jz into a 350z.......... If you could assist throughout the rest of the build it would be a huge help. I'll send you my build plan by pm & you can alter as you see fit

Need to order new suspension arms, Brides & a BBK in the next few days also.
ashbuster
nice project. how much was the 350z gearbox to 2jz conversion bud? if you dont mind me asking
Ian.
The gearbox convertor was £1300 and that includes adaptor plate, clutch and flywheel
listy
The gearbox convertor was £1300 and that includes adaptor plate, clutch and flywheel That seems a good price. May have to find out how much a Z box to supra mount would be. Could be a reasonable alternative now R154 conversions are going up in price. Big Supes
Awesome project. I've always liked the 350z, but they lack heart... this one won't though, that's for sure!

Ian.
Quite a bit has happened to the Zupra since the last update. Japfest is still looking like an unrealistic target though Fitted the exhaust ready to measure for the custom middle section to downpipe Wiring harness turned up Walbro 450LPH fuel pump Its quite low ARC intercooler mocked up GTSpec wing braces A long lost friend turned up! The bottom end even got mounted! Doesnt quite fit though due to using the 350Z gearbox. Will need custom mounts for the box now to move it back a few inches, which will also require a custom prop shaft and some fiddling with the gear linkage. Still, its a bit of progress which has been severely lacking of late!
hiten55
How did i miss this? [emoji15] looks interesting - subscribed[emoji16]
Ian C
I may be overreacting but isn't using a mangy lifting strop to sandpaper the bores of cylinders 2 and 5 a bit risky? It's doing the mains bearing surfaces underneath as well, I'd imagine...
Pudsey
Impressive build - I missed this one too. That's a lot of money going into the parts for the front end, looks great. Look forward to following your progress, and really like the tail pipe silencer vivid colours. Pretty damn special that

Ian.
If I get to 700 I'll be happy. My mate whos building it is aiming for that as a minimum Had to modify the manifold a bit to fit into the 350Z but its now done
