Jellybean
Hey Just a quick one , PITA to start the car today, probably due to the cold but the Halfords Battery isnt too old ; maybe the alarm and the immobiliser kicking in too , sometimes she gets confused when the remote start is armed and she doesnt turn over, think I need to increase the crank time allowed on the alarm Any who , I got her started , but the click you get when the battery is dead , I heard it after the car started and was idling at about 60 sec intervals So the car was on, idling at 800 rpm to warm up and drops to the 500 rpm , but I hear the click as if the battery was dead as she was warming up This usual , never heard it before ? The spark plugs need to be changed , she runs, pulls fine but sounds similar to a boxster engine on idle
pedrosixfour
I get a clicking noise (I think) when I close the driver's door after the car has been started. Can't imagine what it is but perhaps your battery's voltage was low enough after start-up that this particular system was resetting itself until it was satisfied with the signal it was getting. Is that just too bloody vague for technical?
