WaLKeRR
Well the frost today has killed off my central locking lol! car will unlock but wont lock, so have to go through the events of, locking passenger side send drivers window down lock from outside car with hand then lock with keyfob to make sure window goes up lol! im sure someone said it was a red or black box needs replacing when this happens any info would be helpful thanks
Branners
My fob based central locking does sometihng similar when it gets cold and wet. It will lock, but wont unlock, but it does disarm the alarm. But if I use the key to open the door after a disarm it is all good. When the weather gets warmer it fixes itself!! So you may want to get the car on a long run to get the interior really warm (turn the heat all the way up and push it to the footwells) and see if it fixes itself. Havard
I had this last year in the severe cold. Has to lock the doors with a key but fob would unlock. Eventually sorted itself when the weather improved.
WaLKeRR
yeah mine sorted its self after the weather improved last year, i wonder if we all have the same alarm system? clifford one?
downimpact
yeah mine awkward with cold weather, now it seems I can lock doors with interior button on drivers door but not unlock, this also means my fob will no longer unlock doors
Branners
Oh yeah, that too. When mine plays about the lock doors button on the inside of the car stops working.
trebor69
Mine plays up every winter, I just lock both sides with the key.
RobUK
I had to get in via the passenger door last night as the drivers door lock and handle had completely frozen.... Soon warmed up though
Wez
I use to get this if the car wasn't used often.
Pete
I also had this. Dismantled the whole damn thing. Tested all the switches and locks. Reassembled and it did the same next day. Basically I think damp gets into the door switches and cold weather stops them from working.
