non start

Supra not starting, turns over fine. Took fuel pipe off to find no fuel getting to engine. Cant hear fuel pump priming. Also noticed engine light not coming on with ignition.

Would this sound like an immobiliser fault? It has a clifford 650 mk2.

It seems to be working fine, light goes off when disarmed.

However this is the only thing I could think of that might cut fuel and ecu power?

I've got the same alarm and the ECU light, as you say, doesn't come on until the immobiliser is disarmed. However, if the immobiliser doesn't disarm, the engine won't crank.

Just tried to start the car with the alarm armed and as you said it wont crank, alarm goes off. So that rules out immobiliser i guess. Ive heard if no engine light it means ecu has no power, so think next step would be to look at wiring to ecu.

i think the power to ecu is a black wire with yellow strip, i would check ecu fuses etc.. then check for voltage at these fuses.

it sounds like a power issue. where are you based see your in hants too,,

Checked the fuses. Will check the relays and wiring later. Think it might be wiring as its had an alarm fitted with dodgy looking splicing.

Located near Southampton.

The ecu grounds to the engine are under the plenum, two black wires with a 6mm hole eyelet tag on each. Hard to see. I think DavidP posted a photo a while back. You can soon see if the ecu is operative as MAP sensor, TPS, ecu coolant temp sensor, cam position sensors, blah blah will a 5V supply from the ecu. Check the MAP sensor has 5V feed, it' easy to get at and only has three wires, and it's *NOT* the yellow / black one.
