Guest Rhubarb
Can anyone point me in the direction of A) the uk mk3 Facebook group!! There are loads of American ones it's annoying B) the best place to find a decent mk3 project. I want something I can make my own. So doesn't need seats or even engine to be fair just doors etc and wheels
j_jza80
You'd be best importing one IMO. these cars rust, and most of the ones in the UK will be uneconomical to repair. An import will be a clean base, and you can start with a 1jz engine and R154 box, much better than the 7m UK cars.

Jurgen (JM Imports) on here will be able to help. You may (if you're lucky) find one in Ireland, as I understand quite a few of the 1JZ MK3s have been imported there. They're basically non existent here. But as I said before, rust is an issue with these, so your best bet is to import one, then rustproof it thoroughly. here's a list of a few in Japan: http://www.carsensor.net/usedcar/freeword/supra/index.html?SORT=4 You're looking for the 3.0 and 2.5 manual turbo cars. The 3.0 is also available as an NA, but that has a weak gearbox. You could import a 1JZ one, and sell the engine, which should be worth circa £1k, though I would just keep the 1JZ as it's a very good engine.
