Just got my new 8800 at last (nokia are seriously not issuing many to the phone shops just to keep demand up!!) It seems to be working well...Its taken me a while and a few miles to get this one on an upgrade...

Great phone though...should keep its price a while

A million miles better than the 8910i I had for ages before....

Well worth a look :woot:

Im sure better pictures are available from Nokia.co.uk but its a very nice, tastefully done, quality built phone IMHO...

Loads of good features, Ive just set up full internet and email access...+ the usual MMS, MP3 & 4 player, 0.6MP camera ush talk and streaming...

Even the box it comes in is a work of art...

Little bit pricey still but well worth it I think...Def: "the phone to have". (nicked!)

Ive got one and absolutely love it. Had it a month or so now. I agree bout the features, not the best but then i have a 4Mp digi camera and digi camcorder so dont need good qual ones on my phone, just need one that can take incriminating evidence of my mates drunk or crap cars i see out and about. I bought the phone for its looks and the fact that it wont lose value over the enxt few years so when i upgrade next year i could probably sell it for the same as what i paid for it.

I phoned Vodafone for an upgrade..They said F' off...We havent got any, and we aren't getting any more...I called my local vodafone shop...they said the same.

I call vodafone back and complained and after a while they searched (their system) and told me 2 shops had 2 in stock.

One of the shops said they only had 2 and they were reserved for other people (but wouldnt reserve me one - funny!)

The other shop had 1 left (Stevenage) so I hot footed it over there and grabbed it quick...

£124 for a special price upgrade...

Usually around £180, or £600 to buy !!!

As I said, Nokia are really fighting to make this "The phone to have" by not giving many out.....

Do you know how to get them to give me a good deal on my upgrade? Do you have to request and wait for your PAC code to arrive before they offer the best deals?

Yeah vodafones policy states you must request Pac's in writing, but that is the final stage some departments do try to save customers from leaving. Upgrades are all depentant on what you've spend over the last few months, to get an 8800 free youll need a spend averaging £100 per month, to be honest with you look for another phone, nokia arent releaseing them and 4 in 10 phones which customer do have have come back with faults, put it this way there are better phones on the market with larger memory better cams and bluetooths

I only spend £22 a month and I'm thinking about getting the Nokia 6680 but I havent got round to calling them regarding it yet. They offered an ok deal when I called before but wanted to charge £60 for the Motorola V3 when its much cheaper or free for new customers so I declined.

V3 again being quite an expensive handset but this is dropping in price due to how long its been on the market, another poor functioning phone in my opion.

6680 on the other hand is a nice phone, cam not as good as some phones but again quite expensive.

Also you should be aware that you get 14 days to trail any phone you get as part of a new contract! so try a couple!

For some-one like yourself its best to swap and change providers to get the best deal every year, or work for a phone company like me and get free phones and line rental every month ! :ecstatic:

I've still got my 8910i. I've only ever seen three other people with one, and one of those was that Phil Shineyhead bloke from Location x3 on CH4.

Bit is hijack, but do you think it's possible to polish up the black painted Ti casing, as it's looking a bit tatty now, but then again, the black matches the inside of the Supra, which is also tatty.

so what features is it missing then?

I know the camera is poor but if i want to take a picture i use my 5megapixel canon ixus. It plays movies and MP3 and if im correct you even phone people on it?!?

The reason i got it and i like it so much is because of the build quality and bling factor, but then everyones different...
