Jellybean
Hey thinking a HKS kit and w the t04z, t51 or the Owen developments 35rgtx The Bosch 044 fuel pump is or was the pump to get? Walbro have brought 400 and 450 units What is the recommended choice now?
Pig
There is also a new AEM pump. I think there was a thread a while ago which ran through all the options. Bosch 044 is very noisy! John Bailey has.... either the new warble or the AEM and it is silent compared to the bosch!
mellonman
I have a walbro 400 runing my t67, quiet and almost a direct replacement to stock fitting wise but you do have to fit a relay to bypass the low voltage fuel pump ecu, the 450 is an ethonal spec iirc
Mk4Gaz
Walbro 450 is what I'm running, and as above, is suitable for ethanol.
np89
Agreed the 450 dual turbine pump is the job!
JamieP
I use 485's
Chris Bailey
We run the Walbro 450LPH, Seems to be okay for the power we run. Pretty much silent, although after a long drive you can hear it a little, nothing major though. Think its ethanol rated pump but I can't guarantee that. Chris Wilson
If a competition electronic part is available from Bosch Motorsport, and the budget permits, I will choose that above nearly anything else. It's no coincidence so many high end race cars run Bosch parts. For me, sod the noise, or isolate mount it, and run an 044.

Clausz
I didn't like the noise from the 040 pump I was running, last year I changed it for a Aeromotive Stealth 340LPH, and this year I added another one. http://aeromotiveinc.com/340-stealth/
