alxns7
Hello! Me and my brother got lucky and could find a 1993 LHD Manual 6, Euro spec BPU Supra. I thought I would register here as it seems to be a good european Supra forum. I hope I'm right ! I'm new to the Supra world and this one needs some small work. The car was originally sold in Denmark. The previous owner had his own dyno shop, mostly doing japanese cars. It delivers about 460 HP. Mods: Custom decat exhaust line. I've never really experienced other exhausts. All I can say is, it sounds mad. Apexi air intake Will be changed to the original stock air intake Autobahn88 FMIC. The piping doesn't look very good in the engine bay (never liked the polished pipes and blue hoses so we will be looking to replace the whole with a side mount Chris Wilson intercooler. HKS BOV. Will replace it by the stock valve. HKS EVC-S boost controller. Set to 1.1 bar I believe Apexi SAFC II BC Racing coilovers Volk TE37 18x9.5" +22. The front ones are too big in this size so I'm currently looking to replace them with 18x8.5" +30 Michelin Pilot Sport 3. front 235/40 rear 255/35 The car has some electrical problems, which we will be fixing first. Some questions: 1. I'm looking for a good online OEM Toyota parts store for Europe. Any suggestions? I heard the official ebay Toyota parts store is a start. Otherwise the best prices I could find was on amayama.com. Any experience with them? 2. The car is originally Danish so it has daytime running lights. But it's the fog lights turning on, not low beam. Is this normal? 3. The third stop light doesn't work. With a closer look it doesn't even seem to have any LED. Were some Supras sold without a functioning third stop light? I've looked into the Toyota EPC and found out there is a part number for a high mounted stop light "cap" (PN 76811-14030). When looking at the third stop light PN, it says "N/A" for my model number. Apparently the wiring harness is the same PN so it's probably easy to just buy a new light. 4. The dash illumination doesn't work when switching the lights on. I'm talking about illumination on the different dash buttons (heater, hazards, windows, central lock...), the three centre gauges are fine. Any ideas? Gaz6002
Welcome Firstly, it seems the car in question has some electrical issues you need to sort out. I'd advise a specialist as this doesn't sound like a quick job! It also sounds like you have found a very nice car! You don't need a BOV, though. Also, I would get an intercooler kit that fits rather than forcing one on there...

bonus_2000
Hi there, nice car! Some models came with non functioning centre brake lights, to conform with regulations of the time, I believe the UK spec models also had this. I would think you could just buy a centre brake light from someone like keron here on the forum along with the harness and wire it in. Abz
Bonjour! Welcome to the club. Depending where you are in France you could bring it to the UK if you can't find a specialist in France. Hopefully one of our French members can advise.

alxns7
Thank you all! Welcome Firstly, it seems the car in question has some electrical issues you need to sort out. Also, I would get an intercooler kit that fits rather than forcing one on there... We will try to fix the different issues ourselves first the repair manuals seem to be well done. Also, I've been reading a lot lately and to be honest, I think we will put back the stock (or an aftermarket) side mounted intercooler. I like the stock look, and a FMIC is probably a bit too much for anything under 500hp isn't it. As for the BOV, a recirculating kit or even get the stock bypass valve wouldn't hurt, so that will be changed too. (Noob-) question is, if I put those stock parts back, will the SAFC II need to be remapped? EDIT: I think I'll be very happy with garagewhifbitz.co.uk Edited December 14, 2014 by alxns7 (see edit history)
Luxluc
Bienvenue au forum Alex. I would stick with the FMIC. If your euro-spec turbos run 1.1bar, you shouldn't be worried. That shouldn't be a problem. I ran my euro-spec turbos 1.45 bar when I was BPU.
alxns7
Well I wanted to change the whole piping anyway so I will probably go for the Whifbitz side mount intercooler as well as aluminium piping. Any tips on an online OEM Toyota parts store? Edited December 14, 2014 by alxns7 (see edit history)
sideexitsupra
Try Paul at Whifbitz for stock parts along with the other pieces you need. I can recommend his services.
alxns7
Thanks sideexit, will definitely try. There seems to be really good Supra dealers and shops in the UK which is great coming from France, there is not so many Supras over here.
