Bull3t
Hi all, I might be buying a Supra next week. It's an N/A 5 speed Manual Veilside Skirts and Front Lip Haven't got a clue about the Rear Bumper, and to be honest with you...I'm not a big fan. What do you think? I'm looking to start a new project on it, as it's not my style in many ways. Potential Changes listed below. 1) Alloy wheels need to go, do you have any solution? was thinking of the ROTA Neo Chrome 18's? 2) Cream Leather seats I'm unsure with - Possible change them to Black 3) Front Lip I like, but would exchange for Carbon. 4) Rear Spoiler will be TRD Spoiler with Carbon middle. 5) Rear Bumper....I have no idea yet 6) HKS Silent Exhaust. 7) Possible Carbon bonnet, no clue which one yet, all in good time. These are just the few things I have in mind, and would like to get your ideas on board too. Looking forward to hearing your ideas!
evinX
If I remember correctly this supra came over from spain? a member on here owned it
ripped_fear
I remember this car it had and RX8 custom aftermarket front and rear end, looks like the front has been removed. Change the rear and the side skirts to OEM and i think it would look great. Nice set of wheels would set it off nicely too. Looks a nice base car. scorling
So that is a car from the Club's favourite High Wycombe car dealers. I expect someone will be along in a while to give an insight to overpriced cars and poor service!
Bull3t
Price hasn't been settled yet, how much do you think it's worth? it has done 70k miles on the clock which isn't bad for its age. OEM Sides and back looks lovely. Definitely worth a think.
j_jza80
£2500 max. Dated wheels and bodykit, non stock colour, cloudy lights etc. I would personally look elsewhere. And that's before I get started on that Trader
Bull3t
I take it he hasn't got a good reputation? before I make a move, would be good to know a few things about them!
Nic
I would be very doubtful about that mileage, I'd want to see paperwork and past MOT's to prove it's genuine. The colour is not standard. The wheels are Advan AVS VS5, decent quality but quite heavy, are they 17"? If they are and are a staggered fit you may find a buyer on the MR2 forums. Cream leather seats are UK spec and quite rare, you may find someone who wants to swap for black leather or stock fabric. If you've not read them already, have a read of the threads here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/forumdisplay.php?60-Basic-Supra-Guides
Nic
You may also want to read this thread if the trader is based in High Wycombe. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?208654-Posts-Regarding-Trade-Cars
Bull3t
Thanks for that info, I'm going to take a look, next week and see if it's up to standard. Yes I've read the thread yesterday, very useful and even printed it off for next week!, seriously worried....but excited at the same time. I'm sure to get rid of the Creams if I do purchase, So if anyone's interested, let me know. Definitely getting rid of the alloys, yes they're 17". Thanks for the advice on them. Bull3t
Interesting Thread Nic. I'll take it on board and see what I'll do. It's hard to build on a bad reputation, but this could genuinely be a sound Supra. I've got the "What to look out for list" that I've printed off, and will see how it goes! Havard
I would walk away personally. There aren't many 93 cars with 70k on the clock.
The Raven
Just so you know, If you do get it and want to swap the seats to black leather i would do a swap
Bull3t
I know this sounds silly to some people, but that's one reason why I can't walk away. If everything ads up and paperwork shows it's genuine, then it could be a good thing. Will see how it goes.
