Guest jay0913
Hi guys, New to the forum and I'm sure someone has asked this question before, but I've always wanted a supra and now ive finally got one, it's a 1995 n/a manual, really want to get it drifting, money isn't an issue or the amount of work needed, I don't have an LSD as far as I know, tried drifting her the other night but only one of the rear wheels was spinning, can I weld the diff? Will it work? Or shall I buy a kaaz LSD which has been advised? Also what else would be needed? Apart from the basics Like weight reduction and hydroloc handbrake? I'm pretty sure she's got enough power but a single turbo conversion is definatley on the cards. Thank you in advance
Fizzy T
Wider wheels up front with negative camber will aid your grip levels, rear wheels don't need to be as wide which in turn helps to light up the tyres. Yes you can weld the open diffs, probably a job for a professional though. A true LSD is always going to be better and stronger though The standard power would be fine but lots of people jump on the power bandwagon. Swap out the rear pads for decent quality uprated ones and see how you go first before going hydraulic handbrake. Getting as much of the weight out of the car is always going to be a bonus too. Don't skimp on safety though
pedrosixfour
Uprated rear anti roll bar would help get the back to step out. You could start playing with the rear alignment settings too, but that wouldn't be a great idea on a road car. Supras are great fun to slide, I've spent a fair bit of time & money getting my car to grip as much as possible. So far I've failed spectacularly! Justin Bieber
I actually have a Kaaz LSD for sale however it is a TT6 ratio and gears a 5 speed up quite a lot, second gear tops out at about 85mph with 18" wheels and 285 tyres.
