lexmk4
Hi guys, Got a question about the abs. I'm not looking to delete the abs but would like to relokate it to the trunk. Doing that means i have to make the front lines longer. Would there be any reason why that would be a problem? Cause of it being a clossed system i would say that distances wouldn't really matter? Thx for the help
markssupra
Not just the brake lines would have to be made longer, also the wiring and relays would have to be moved. I have done this, but my car is not finished yet so the ABS is not tested! The brakes do actually work though.
Chris Wilson
As fluid is (all but) solid, from a compression point of view, the system will actuate, and I can't see the line length affecting the latency of the pulsing of the fluid, as you are only lengthening the front lines, but shortening the rear. Can't see an issue, if you want to move it. Just curious as to WHY you want to move it, if you don't mind me asking?
